Vent Clip Freshie Information

FAQs

  • Scent will dissipate quicker if freshie is left attached to vent and your car is parked in direct sunlight for an extended period of time, consider removing freshie to a cooler, darker environment when you are not driving.

  • One of four things may be occurring.

    1. This starts to occur when the freshie is nearing the end of its shelf-life. Vent Clip freshies have a scent retention of approximately 30 days when used correctly.

    2. If the freshie is continually left in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, the scent will dissipate quicker from the aroma beads giving the freshie a weaker scent throw.

    3. Cold Weather. During the winter months the Vent Clip freshie is not being exposed to temperatures above 70F, which help the freshie to give a scent throw. Try turning up the car heater and the fan speed. Do not exceed 75F, as the freshie may begin to melt. Understand that doing this for extended periods of time will make the scent dissipate from the freshie quicker.

    4. Noseblind. You will gradually acclimate to the scent of the freshie from over-exposure. Best way to prevent this is to rotate the scent of your Vent Clip freshies. If you are unsure if your freshie is stilling throwing scent, invite a friend into your car who is willing to give you an honest opinion.

  • Once your car freshie has lost its scent, you might think throwing it in the trash is the only option. Try one of these options once your freshie has stopped producing a scent throw, while reducing plastic waste:

    • Turn it into a useful Christmas tree ornament. The clip on the back slips easily onto a tree branch.

    • Remove the clip from the back of the freshie, insert an eyehook, tie with a cute piece of ribbon or string and hang the old freshie in a window of your home and use it as a sun catcher.

If nothing else, it can be thrown safely into your regular trash.

  • Why yes. Great for gym lockers, closets and small rooms.
